Weekly Private Lessons
Music Around offers individualized private lessons across a wide range of instruments, taught by a diverse and highly experienced faculty. Our one-on-one instruction is designed to meet students where they are—whether they are beginners discovering music for the first time or advanced students refining technique, repertoire, and musicianship. Lessons are available throughout the week, with flexible scheduling depending on instructor availability.
Piano instruction forms the foundation of our private lesson program. Students develop strong technique, music literacy, and expressive playing while exploring classical, jazz, and contemporary styles. Our piano faculty works with students of all ages and levels, supporting both structured curriculum and creative growth.
Voice lessons focus on healthy vocal technique, confidence, and musical expression. Students learn breath control, pitch accuracy, diction, and performance skills while working in styles ranging from classical and musical theater to pop and contemporary repertoire.
Guitar lessons are tailored to each student’s interests, covering acoustic and electric techniques, chord vocabulary, reading, and improvisation. Whether students are learning their first songs or expanding into advanced styles, lessons emphasize both technique and musicality.
Violin and Cello instruction emphasizes proper posture, tone production, and musical phrasing. Students build a strong technical foundation while developing listening skills and ensemble awareness, making these lessons ideal for both young beginners and advancing string players.
Double Bass lessons are available for both classical and jazz students. Instruction focuses on technique, tone, rhythm, and stylistic versatility, supporting orchestral playing, jazz improvisation, and contemporary approaches to the instrument.
Trumpet lessons develop embouchure, breath support, range, and articulation. Students explore a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, and commercial music, while building confidence as soloists and ensemble players.
Trombone instruction focuses on slide technique, tone development, and musical precision. Lessons support students working in concert band, jazz band, orchestral, and contemporary settings.
Saxophone lessons emphasize tone production, technique, and stylistic fluency. Students are guided through classical fundamentals as well as jazz and contemporary styles, with opportunities to develop improvisation and expressive playing.
Drums lessons focus on coordination, timing, and groove. Students learn proper technique, reading, and stylistic versatility while developing strong rhythmic foundations applicable to rock, jazz, pop, and beyond.
