Nick De Anda is a versatile and accomplished guitarist from Garden Grove with over two decades of experience across a wide range of musical styles. He has performed with jazz big bands, mariachis, and classical guitar quartets, showcasing his broad musical fluency.

In 2022, Nick studied at CSU Summer Arts in Granada, Spain, where he performed at the VI Granada Guitar Festival and trained with world-renowned guitarists including Pepe Romero, Vicente Coves, and María Esther Guzmán. During his time studying locally, he recorded electric guitar tracks for artists such as Bobbye Hall (of Stevie Wonder) and Al McKay (of Earth, Wind & Fire).

Nick earned his bachelor’s degree from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt in 2023, where he focused on classical and jazz guitar under Dr. Jennifer Trowbridge. While there, he also founded and led the university’s mariachi ensemble, Mariachi de Humboldt, which toured throughout Mendocino County.

Most recently, Nick was one of only two individuals in the U.S. — and one of just twelve worldwide — to earn a Master’s Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the prestigious University of Alicante in Valencia, Spain.

Now based in California, Nick continues to teach and perform at a high level across the state. He also dedicates time to giving back to the community, including volunteering with Guitars For Vets to support veterans with PTSD. His teaching philosophy centers on developing strong musical skills and cultivating a lifelong passion for music in each of his students.
