Celine You, a South Korean pianist, began her musical journey at a young age, earning a Bachelor of Music from Yonsei University. Her love for jazz led her to Berklee College of Music, where she studied under Joanne Brackeen and Danilo Perez. She furthered her studies in New York City with Jaki Byard and Mulgrew Miller, becoming the first Korean to earn a Master’s in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

After performing in NYC, Celine returned to Korea, where she spent 13 years as a Professor of Piano at JEI University, inspring and mentoring many young musicians. She performed at major festivals and collaborated with artists like Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Ulf Wakenius, and K-pop stars. Celine released three albums as a leader: Lucky Dot, Glimpse, and Under the Appletree. Since moving to Southern California in 2017, she has become a prominent figure in the local jazz scene.
